Gangnam jjajang & cheese rice: Yongyong Seonsaeng Nonhyeon 🧀
Yongyong Seonsaeng Nonhyeon
The jjukkumi-daechang dol-jjajang was the standout for me at Yongyong Seonsaeng Nonhyeon in Gangnam, and the cheese rice kept stretching off my spoon. 🧀

- Place
- Yongyong Seonsaeng Nonhyeon · Nonhyeon, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
- 📍 Where
- Yongyong Seonsaeng Nonhyeon is at 54 Hakdong-ro 2-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (1st and 2nd floors), according to its Naver Map listing, which puts it 265 m from Nonhyeon Station Exit 3. The same listing shows bul-jjukkumi daechang dol-jjajang at ₩34,900, kkul-injeolmi guobaorou at ₩19,900 and volcano mala hot pot at ₩25,900. These are listed prices, not a bill from my table, so check the menu when you order. 📍
- 🍽️ What I ordered
- I ordered jjukkumi-daechang dol-jjajang (쭈꾸미대창돌짜장), injeolmi guobaorou (인절미꿔바로우), cheese rice (치즈밥), volcano mala hot pot (화산마라전골) and beer. The new dishes I tried were all tasty, and the combination in the jjajang felt perfect to me. When I lifted a spoonful of cheese rice, the cheese stretched a long way, and the volcano mala hot pot was as good as it always is. 🥢
- 👀 Visit impressions
- The staff at the Nonhyeon branch were friendly, and good food with a warm welcome made this a meal I enjoyed. The jjajang was my standout, and the cheese rice is the one to watch for the cheese pull. 🍻
