A small, worn-in soup shop on a back street between Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon stations that has been serving the same pork spine soup for decades. The broth is doenjang-based with potato, greens and meaty neck bones, and it opens at 07:00 for people coming off a night out or heading to work. The menu is essentially one dish.

What should you know before you order?
It is cramped inside with a few tables set outside, and the midday rush fills it quickly. Breakfast, around 07:00 to 09:00, is the quietest time.
For allergies or dietary restrictions, ask the restaurant about ingredients and preparation before ordering.

I visited Jeonju Haejangguk, located roughly halfway between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station.
This is a very old establishment, and I visited after receiving a recommendation from an acquaintance.
The restaurant was quite small, and there were seats outside as well.

It's an old restaurant that I used to visit a lot when I was young, but I visited after almost 18 years. The soup is still clean~
