Idaepal Jjukkumi, Gangnam — spicy baby octopus and pork belly on the pan, then fried rice · Watch on YouTube

Jjukkumi and pork belly in Gangnam: at Idaepal Jjukkumi (이대팔쭈꾸미) I ordered jjukkumi samgyeopsal — spicy stir-fried baby octopus with pork belly and bean sprouts, cooked on a pan at the table — and finished with fried rice in the same pan. The menu price recorded on the visit was ₩17,000 per person; the fried rice is charged separately. There was a line, the floor staff were foreign workers, and the prices felt cheap for Gangnam.

Where and when
Idaepal Jjukkumi (이대팔쭈꾸미), Gangnam, Seoul — visited 8 October 2026. I have not confirmed the exact street address here; search the name on the map below.
What I ordered
Jjukkumi & pork belly (쭈꾸미삼겹살) ₩17,000 per person; fried rice (볶음밥) at the end, charged separately — price not recorded.
What it cost
These are menu prices recorded on the visit, not a bill total.
What an owner notices
It is a place people queue for, and for Gangnam the price is low. The floor staff serving us were foreign workers. The one weak point: the restroom is inconvenient.
Tip for visitors
The staff are from abroad, which some visitors may find welcoming — but I did not check what languages they speak, so the Korean phrases below are useful. Leave room for the fried rice.
One scene
The pan arrives raw: a mound of bean sprouts and curls of pork belly on top of red, spicy baby octopus, over a blue gas flame. Once it cooks down it gets wrapped in perilla leaves, and at the end the leftover sauce becomes fried rice, stirred in the same pan.
