Gopchang in Gangnam with a fire show: at Byeolha Gopchang (별하곱창) I ordered two assorted gopchang platters, added beef gopchang (grilled beef small intestine) and finished with fried rice in the same pan. The menu prices I recorded were ₩22,900 for the assorted platter and ₩19,900 for beef gopchang. The owner lights the pan at the table, the staff were friendly, and the place feels like a street stall while staying clean and comfortable.

- Why order here rather than any gopchang grill? The owner's fire show is the first answer — the pan goes up in flames right at the table. The second is the room: it has the open, street-stall feel of a pojangmacha, yet it is clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly.

- Gangnam has plenty of foreign visitors, and this is an easy place to try gopchang for the first time. Keep your phone ready for the flames, and leave room for the fried rice.

- What does the table look like? In my video the flames rise well above the pan with the street just behind, then die down to a pan of gopchang, garlic cloves and chives. At the end the leftover pan becomes fried rice, stirred with a wooden paddle.
