Sinsa salt-grilled chicken: Dalmaji Gwangjang, worth the queue 🍗
Dalmaji Gwangjang (달맞이광장), Sinsa
About 20 parties were waiting when I got to Dalmaji Gwangjang near Sinsa Station in Gangnam, Seoul. One bite of the signature salt-grilled chicken and I understood why: the meat was incredibly moist. 🍗

- Place
- Dalmaji Gwangjang (달맞이광장), Sinsa · Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
- 📍 Where
- The brand's store finder lists the branch as Dalmaji Gwangjang BBQ Sinsa Station (달맞이광장바베큐 신사역점), at 29 Gangnam-daero 152-gil, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the first and second floors, near Sinsa Station. The ₩26,000 was the chicken's menu price on my visit, not a per-person budget or my total bill, so check the menu when you go. 📍
- 🍽️ What I ordered
- I ordered the signature salt-grilled chicken (시그니처 소금구이치킨), which was ₩26,000 on the menu when I visited, plus cream beer, soju and seafood ramen (해물라면). The chicken is what I remember. A piece lifted on my fork shows the golden outside with the meat underneath, and as I ate I kept thinking: can grilled chicken really be this moist? By my own standard it is my number one chicken place right now. The seafood ramen had crab, clams and mussels in the pot, but honestly it was ordinary and didn't give me the same wow as the chicken. 🍺
- 👀 Visit impressions
- There were about 20 parties waiting when I visited. I didn't time the wait, so leave room in your plans rather than squeezing it between other stops. If you want to try grilled chicken in Korea, start with the signature salt-grilled chicken. When I go back, that is the first thing I'll order. 🍗
